Its unbelievable how fast 2017 went, it was literally just the 1st of January just the other day. While working on my style resolutions for 2017, I never envisioned that I would end the year in sequins. In the short time I have documented my personal style, I have discovered that I love to experiment and step out of my comfort zone as much as what works for my body shape permits.

Sequins could either come out looking great or tacky, its a very thin line. Hence, a lot of people are apprehensive towards giving it a try. However, I was inspired by the multiples of sequinned looks that strutted down the Autumn/Winter 2017 runway (s) and decided to give a shot as my New Years eve outfit to celebrations.

I found a two toned reversible sequinned piece of fabric in green and gold, letting it take the course of the designing process and I further threw in extra sequins in pink to create a different pattern. To tone down the look, I oopted for minimal accessories with barely there gold sandals by Jimmy Choo, vintage multi coloured clip on earrings and a quilted clutch. Thats me all sorted for what to wear for NYE – If you have been looking for the opportunity to go wild with sequins, New Year’s rocking eve is the time to get your shine on!
