HOW TO STYLE PANTONE’S COLOUR OF 2020: BLUE

Pantone has named Blue the colour of the year and it couldn’t be more perfect for a new year  as Blue ‘highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era’. Blue have also been scientifically proven to have positive effects on our mental state, talk about the opportunity to feel and look good wearing a colour.

There are quite a number of ways I would be experimenting with Blue this year but first up is to colour block it. Blue in any shade is vibrant and my approach for this week’s look was to pair it with an equally bright colour. The starting piece is this versatile Plisse jacket by Issey Miyake which doubles as a dress accompanied by Orange tailored pants by Topshop.

For accessories, I went with a vintage pouch, Sandals by Jimmy Choo and classic wayfarers by Celine. Classic Blue is such a versatile Colour and it being in the spotlight this year thanks to Pantone, is an opportunity to have a run with it. Try the different shades and experiment with the ways you can wear it x
