With the change in seasons, I find myself reaching for ultra feminine, floral and extra bright pieces. This week’s look exemplifies my current style aesthetic. I call it a nod to fashion in the 1940’s. Fashion in the 40’s saw designers like Christian Dior produce clothes for women which helped accentuate their waists and curves and being pear shaped, its how I aim to dress myself. When I spotted this wrap blouse at Mango, I knew it was the perfect feminine piece to add to my wardrobe. Nipped in the waist with flare sleeves and micro florals, I knew it would do the job of defining and accentuating my waist.
Thankfully, I had the perfect pencil skirt to complement the blouse, I got this vibrant coloured skirt during the sale season from Lk Bennett which is fast becoming one of my favourite stores, the quality of the brands clothing is quite impeccable. To finish off the look, I went with supersize oval sunnies by Chanel, a perspex box clutch from Tk Maxx and sandals by Tom Ford. Now singing Billie Holiday’s Them there eyes 🎶
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend!x
