Green: revive, growth, renew, rebirth, restore, foliage are some of the words associated with the colour Green. When I first found out this yellowish shade of green was the colour of the year for 2017 as suggested by the world’s authority on colour Pantone, I would be honest I wasn’t excited. Its not the easiest shade of green to work with, but after reading the rationale behind the choice by Pantone…I totally get it.
More so than ever before people are submerged in the digital life, most of the time we are either on our phones or some other fancy technological equipment. However at the same time, people are yearning for nature and the preservation of our environment. Greenery represents this yearn for the world in its natural state.
All that being said, I still find the colour tricky to work with lol but I found my own way to interprete it with some items in my closet. Layering a knit from Massimo Dutti over a dress I am wearing as a skirt which I got 3 summers ago by H&M both in different shades of green, I threw on a maxi twilly by Hermes to tie all the colours in. For accessories I went light with a box clutch from TK Maxx and sandals by Sergio Rossi – Heres to a green reinvigorating New Year! 💚🍃
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend!x
