Watching my Dad travel around the world for cancer research as a young girl piqued my interest in travelling. Fast forward to senior secondary school I became a Geography fanatic and ended up being the only one in my year who took the Joint admissions and matriculations board exams (JAMB) which is a major requirement for entry into Nigerian universities….majorly obsessed or nah lol.
Iceland is the embodiment of everything I learnt about while taking Geography classes…Mountains, Plains, Rivers, Waterfalls,Volcanoes, Geysers, Rift valleys…endless natural features, so when I watched an episode of Keeping up with Kardashians (I am shamelessly an avid lover of reality tv lol) in which they headed to Iceland for Kourtney’s birthday and an invite to an Icelandic trip organised by my friend Emilie in the same week, the stars were aligned for me to fulfil my dreams of a full on exploration which started 12 years ago in Geography class. Check out the highlights from my time in Iceland 🙂
