I love love 40’s and 50’s style fashion and on most weekend nights you can find me watching movies with Ava Gardner or Sophia Loren, the fashion from that era was beyond glamorous! When I spotted this fabric last autumn, I immediately knew I wanted to make a 40’s/50s style dress out of it for Spring and with a little down time on my hands last weekend I got to work!
Being pear shaped, pencil dresses aren’t the easiest pieces to wear so I created a belt out of the left over fabric I had after making the dress to cinch my waist there by creating a balance between my torso and lower body. In the spirit of spring, I threw on bright yellow sandals by Casadei to pair with the dress along with an even brighter Hermes twilly accessorising my cross body bag ~ ready for Spring!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend!
