One of my style resolutions for the past couple of years has been to be a more conscious consumer. While this has fuelled my hoarding habits, Its made me find more versatile ways to make the best of outfits I own. It is also an attitude I want to take into the new year and oncoming decade .

My style and preferences in fashion keep evolving and I want to continuously experiment with versatile pieces keeping the mantra ‘buy quality, shop less’. For this week’s look, I stumbled on an old dress while planning outfits for party season.

I bought it back in 2015 and haven’t worn it since (yea hoarder problems lol). It was originally sleeveless with an asymmetrical hemline. The hemline fit in perfectly for a party look but I felt it needed something extra.

Feathers are synonymous with the festive season and it was the perfect addition to the dress. I found the perfect feathered appliqué which I attached on to DIY sleeves and I got the dramatic look I was going for. I went with supersize earrings I found on ASOS to match a gem-encrusted minaudière and to finish off the look, I went through and classic Anouk pumps by Jimmy Choo and sunnies by Celine.

Something old, something new, something renewed
